Position: Hematology Clinical Nurse Coordinator
Location: Gainesville, FL

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team in Gainesville, FL. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will oversee and coordinate patient care for individuals with hematologic conditions, ensuring comprehensive and personalized treatment plans. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide support, education, and clinical care coordination for hematology patients, including those undergoing chemotherapy, transfusions, and other complex treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the care of patients with hematologic disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, anemia, and other blood diseases.
  • Collaborate with hematologists, oncologists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, assess responses to treatments, and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Provide patient and family education on hematologic conditions, treatment options, and symptom management.
  • Coordinate and schedule diagnostic tests, transfusions, and follow-up appointments to ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing questions, concerns, and coordinating communication between the care team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, treatments, and progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements for patient care.
Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in hematology, oncology, or critical care.
  • ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in patient education and care coordination.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.

Compensation: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
