Objective:  
The Product Sourcing & Vendor Negotiator represents the organization to our vendors. This position is an integral position within our Supply Chain team, responsible for actively negotiating, managing our vendor relationships, analyzing performance, quality, and compliance metrics, as well as, identifying continuous improvement opportunities. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 
  • Point of contact for vendors, acting Vendor Relationship Manager.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers across products (CPG Consumables and Accessories), services, and supplies.
  • Vendor scorecards, assessing performance and quality controls.
  • Vendor compliance management, aligning company standards.
  • Manage and resolve supplier escalations, issues, and concerns.
  • Manage all aspects of pricing and margin expectations.
  • Maintain a pulse on the vendor landscape, sourcing qualified suppliers, and identifying alternate sources to manage business risk.
  • Outline sourcing strategies by category in collaboration with the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize our vendor relations and/or continuous improvement opportunities. 
  • Conduct market studies to identify alternate vendors, understand market trends that could influence supply chain management practices.  
  • Manage and evolve the Vendor Management Program based on industry leading practices.
Knowledge and Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or similar, preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years experience with a combination of Purchasing, Sourcing, Negotiating, RFQ process, and Vendor Management. 
  • Experience sourcing CPG such as accessories (required) and consumables (preferred).
  • Supply Chain experience, required.
  • Advanced negotiation skills, required.
  • Microsoft Office experience, including Excel proficiency, required.
  • Excellent analytical skills with follow through and proactive approach.
  • Proficient planning and organizational skills. 
  • Proficient critical/creative thinking and problem solving. 
  • Excellent people skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, strong business acumen. 
  • Detail-oriented; ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet scheduled deadlines. 
  • Thrive independently and as a team leader.
  • Ability to travel as needed to St. Augustine, FL and other locations as needed.
Physical Requirements to perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Utilize hands and fingers to perform job duties, which may include operating machinery, handling of material, or typing.
  • Physical mobility within both a warehouse and office environment.
  • Ability to move up to 30 lbs. throughout the office and warehouse. 
  • Capacity for visual acuity to monitor processes, examine materials, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. 
  • Ability to visually verify color and substance. 
  • Communicate in English utilizing both written and oral methods including the use of speech and hearing to communicate effectively with team members, clients, customers, and the ability to engage in verbal discussions and listen attentively.
  • Perform various physical tasks that may require standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching and maneuvering within the workspace.
  • Consistently work around spices; must not be sensitive to various scents and aromas.
