TITLE: BDS Program Director (Part-Time with potential for Full-Time)

PAY RANGE: Competitive pay based on experience

HOURS:
  • 30 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Potential to transition into a full-time role

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The BDS Program Director will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our BDS program by overseeing client services, supporting staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. This role will begin as part-time with the intent to transition to full-time as the program expands.

ROLE:

The BDS Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our developmental disability services, ensuring that all client outcomes are met, staff are properly trained, and policies are adhered to. In collaboration with the team, the Director will help drive the long-term success of the program and ensure clients' health and safety while promoting independence. This role will involve managing administrative tasks, coordinating care, and contributing to the development and growth of the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the BDS program.
  • Coordinate staff schedules to ensure client care needs are met and compliance with client care plans.
  • Conduct and document assessments, individual plans, and service modifications.
  • Ensure staff are trained on PCISP (Person-Centered Individual Support Plan) goals, behavior plans, and high-risk health plans.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for BDS program staff to ensure quality care and adherence to all standards.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, train, and retain qualified personnel.
  • Communicate regularly with the Operations and HR regarding staff needs, client outcomes, and program progress.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting for each client.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (CQL, Medicaid, IAC 460, BQIS) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Facilitate on-call support for emergencies, ensuring timely crisis intervention.
  • Support marketing efforts by attending relevant community events and promoting the BDS program to potential clients.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of new program strategies to increase client engagement and satisfaction.

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality care for all BDS clients.
  • Drive the successful implementation and growth of the BDS program.
  • Staff feel supported, empowered, and trained to deliver care that meets client goals.
  • Increase the efficiency of program operations, reducing administrative burdens.
  • Enhance client satisfaction and retention by meeting or exceeding expectations for care.
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, ideally within a BDS program or similar setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, including Medicaid, CQL, and BDS standards.
  • Experience managing staff and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly in care management software.
