Reports to: Daycare Supervisor
Status: Part-Time / Non-Exempt
Job Purpose: You are an integral part of the Daycare Department who is responsible for the safety of all animals in group play. Your knowledge of dog behavior and fast decision-making is what makes you effective at this job.
What you will be doing:
Decision Making – Proactively manage groups of dogs as they play and socialize. Determine when a dog needs management and what type of management is most effective for that individual
Record keeping – Document incidents, injuries, abnormal behaviors, and health issues. Ensure all services are marked and report cards completed.
Communication – Update coworkers regularly about behaviors you witness. Report concerns about dogs or staff to Leads and the Supervisor.
Maintenance – Clean up animal waste efficiently. Complete daily, monthly and seasonal cleaning tasks.
Support- Ensure safe handling of animals. Assist Grooming with nail trims/departure baths for clients utilizing group management services.
Culture - Foster an open and inclusive work environment by modeling NB Behaviors and values, consistent with the vision and mission of the organization. Maintain a safe work environment by following NB protocols and policies. Work with NB team member in a positive and effective way to advance the mission of NB.

What we are looking for:
Physical & Emotional Capabilities – Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in an animal boarding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Schedule - Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality and availability to work during operations hours as defined by management with the flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Adaptability - Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations.
Communication - Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must have ability to work as a member of the team and partner collaboratively with other departments.
Experience- Minimum of one year of dog daycare experience preferred
