We’re currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Press Operator to join our dynamic team.
Technical Skills
- Printing Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating digital printing presses, including setup, maintenance and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
- Color Management: Understanding color profiles, calibration, and consistency across prints.
- File Preparation: Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Fiery Command Workstation a must. Graphic design software (like Adobe Creative Suite) to prepare files for printing a plus.
- Materials Knowledge: Familiarity with different substrates, inks, and coatings used in digital printing.
Math and Measurement
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations related to dimensions, layouts, and color mixing.
- Measuring Skills: Proficiency in reading rulers and measuring tools accurately to ensure precise cuts and layouts.
Quality Control
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for spotting inconsistencies in color, alignment, and overall print quality.
- Troubleshooting: Skills to identify and resolve issues quickly to maintain production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review job orders and specifications to determine printing requirements and materials needed.
2. Set up and operate digital press equipment, including calibrating color, adjusting settings to ensure high-quality output and accurate color matching.
3. Monitor the printing process to ensure consistent quality and make adjustments as necessary.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the printing process to minimize downtime.
5. Lift and handle heavy cartons of paper and other materials as required.
6. Maintain accurate records of production runs, materials used.
7. Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure that all jobs are completed on time and to client specifications.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
