Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our insurance office as a Sales and Service Representative. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is eager to kickstart a career in insurance sales and is open to obtaining the required licensing. We offer license scholarships for the right candidate. Initially, you will start in the service department and after a probationary period, transition to a sales-focused role. Pay is based on performance. There is a low base pay but higher commission which is not included in the annual range listed below.

Responsibilities:

  1. Learn about our range of insurance products and services to better assist customers.
  2. Provide proactive problem-solving assistance to customers.
  3. Help customers with their insurance policy inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their insurance needs, and suggesting suitable coverage options.
  5. Embrace a strong desire for self-improvement and learning.
  6. Collaborate with team members to achieve individual and office-wide sales targets.
  7. Process insurance policy changes, endorsements, and cancellations following company guidelines.
  8. Make outbound sales calls to generate leads and schedule appointments with potential clients.
Qualifications:

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  2. A desire to succeed and a competitive nature, with a focus on teamwork.
  3. Excellent customer service skills, prioritizing building and maintaining client relationships.
  4. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  5. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  6. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  7. Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to learn and navigate insurance software systems.
  8. Willingness to obtain the necessary insurance licenses within a specified timeframe.
  9. Previous sales experience is a plus but not required. Prior experience dealing with the public, such as in restaurants, schools, retail stores, or other service and sales positions, often leads to success in this role.


 
Compensation: $15.00 - $22.50 per hour
