We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves daily setup and operation of a controlled press brake in a fast-paced, just-in-time fabrication facility. The Machine Operator will ensure quality standards are met, assist with high-priority jobs, and collaborate with the Manufacturing/Production Manager on job prioritization. Adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and production goals is essential to the role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and run complex bend setups and forming operations, including custom punch/die modifications.
  • Execute complex programming with all press brake features, such as bending at angles, step bends, and back gauge transfers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Produce parts by marking reference points on workpieces and positioning them against stops and guides.
  • Maintain part specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Assist other operators on high-priority jobs as needed or temporarily reassigned to other fabrication tasks.
  • Collaborate with management to improve processes, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
  • Ensure timely, independent decisions and actions based on best practices and customer requirements.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of press brake operating experience.
  • Proficiency in reading tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and protractors, and interpreting tolerances.
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques and materials.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.

Compensation: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
