Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU/PICU

We’re seeking an experienced RRT to join our NICU/PICU team, where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our youngest and most vulnerable patients. Position Highlights:

Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, every other weekend required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, with opportunities for 48 hours and overtime after 48 hours
Flexible Scheduling: Open to block scheduling based on facility needs

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; 3 years of recent experience preferred, ideally with pediatric cases.
Licensure: Pending state licenses accepted; applicants must provide date applied and proof of application.
Certifications: RRT, BLS, and PALS required
Specialty Focus: Strong preference for NICU/PICU experience, though qualified candidates from other specialties are welcome to apply

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver expert respiratory care for NICU and PICU patients in a collaborative team environment
Adapt and float within scope of practice to meet changing facility needs
Support quality, safety, and compassionate care for all patients

Additional Details:

Start Date: Must be available to start within 3-4 weeks of job offer
Floating Requirement: Flexibility to float within scope as needed
Weekend & Time Off: Every other weekend required, with a maximum of 7 consecutive days off (RTO) if taking full week; additional week of work required for full-week RTO requests
