Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian professional to join the team at our successful clinic. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, leading a team, monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. Responsibilities

- Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history
- Take vital signs and acquire blood samples
- Assist with surgeries and monitor animals after surgery
- Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients
- Keep accurate patient records
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Ability to organize a surgical suite
- Can lead a team
- Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
- Medical charting
- Willingness to give direction and teach others
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
- Patience and a love for client service
Compensation: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Best Friends Pet Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.
We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area.
