Title: Credentialing Coordinator
Department: Outpatient Clinic Services
Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating medical and clinical credentialing documentation. Works independently and is a valued team member supporting the coordination of all operational aspects of the credentialing program. This includes organizing, compiling key informational data and executing processes and procedures related to the credentialing, re-credentialing and licensing of the staff. Assignments are planned and executed with considerable independence in conformance with established policies, regulations, and laws.
Position Responsibilities:
- Initiates and coordinates the acquisition and receipt of all credentialing documentation from new and existing providers; provides follow-up and problem resolution as required.
- Coordinates the processing, distribution of all credentialing and accreditation documents for affected providers.
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of credentialing database. Maintain and track provider licensure, requesting current version from appropriate parties when necessary.
- Assist in ensuring that provider participation in the payer plans and CAQH is current, accurate and up to date.
- Assists in the management of medical licensing application process for all patient care providers. Identifies problematic applications, resolves licensing issues, acts as liaison between the company management, medical providers, and staff.
- Responsible for inputting credentialing information into the departmental credentialing system, as necessary to support the Credentialing program.
- Must actively process forms, requesting payer applications, updating CAQH, maintaining file system, following up on issues and troubleshooting problems.
- Maintains and ensures strict confidentiality of files and databases.
- Maintain up-to-date Policy and Compliance manuals.
- Keep Incident Reports log and tracked.
- Maintain Google Drive for all the Outpatient Division.
- Create and maintain all Policies and Procedures Manual for Outpatient.
- Create and maintain all meeting notes/agendas including but not limited to posting to Google Drive.
- On boarding and exiting clinicians to include but not limited to setting up CANS, VM, badge, EHANA, keys and outlook. Give tour of outpatient facility and familiarize them with policy and procedures.
- Track and maintain Productivity Report for VP and CAPS report.
- New Project: Insurance Company Provider manual.
- Track and maintain CEU.
- All other duties as necessary to assist with assigned projects within the division or required assistance with unforeseen or unplanned duties, both as assigned by the Client Registration Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED required.
- College Degree / Certificate preferred.
- Professional communication skills.
- Excellent organizational / interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills; Word, Excel, and Office.
- Attention to detail and able to multitask.
- Experience and/or knowledge of MA credential requirements
