Award-winning Automation Company is seeking an experienced Operations Director who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and long-term strategy of the company’s production, logistics, and other essential operational functions.
· This role focuses on enhancing productivity, managing costs and ensuring that operational activities align with the company’s goals and objectives.
· The Operations Director collaborates closely with the leadership team, project managers, technicians and external partners to streamline processes, optimize resources and support growth.
· Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company’s objectives.
· Design and manage efficient systems and processes to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
· Identify, track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business goals.
· Oversee the daily operations, including logistics, inventory and quality control.
· Ensure optimal resource allocation and manage budgets to achieve cost-effectiveness.
· Lead, mentor and develop a team of managers and staff to foster a high-performance culture.
· Facilitate professional growth through training, performance evaluations and career development.
· Encourage a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
· Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
· Ensure that all operations comply with regulatory and industry standards.
· Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify and mitigate operational risks.
· Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, partners and key stakeholders.
· Negotiate contracts with vendors and oversee procurement to support production and operational needs.
· Manage vendor performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
· The Operations Director will work in an office setting but may need to travel occasionally to different company sites and supplier locations.
Additional Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
· Proven experience in operations management with a minimum of 5-10 years in a senior leadership role.
· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills for effective team leadership and collaboration.
· Experience in change management and process optimization.
