Phoenix Sign Studio is seeking an experienced Sign Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate is a professional, self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities

Design and produce a wide variety of signs from inception to completion
Operate and maintain large format printers, cutters and laminators
Prepare and apply vinyl graphics to various substrates for sign production
Manage and track electronic and paper records related to jobs
Answer phones and take messages, providing excellent customer service
Consult and interface with customers to ensure their signage needs are met
Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing/production area
Perform simple in-shop installations and occasional on-site installations
Prepare mock-ups and propose effective materials for sign projects
Assist in maintaining company signage equipment
Learn and adapt to new technologies, skills and techniques to enhance sign-making proficiency
Ensure timely completion of print production tasks

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a professional sign maker in design and production
Expertise in vinyl creation, application, and operating large format digital printers, plotters and laminators
Knowledge in color management
Proficiency in using Adobe Design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and RIP software
Experience with pre-flighting and creating proofs from client artwork
Knowledge of sign fabrication methods and materials
Ability to create shop drawings and layouts for permits, fabrication and installation
Strong design creativity and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional and polished demeanor with coworkers, customers and vendors
Ability to read, interpret and follow work orders accurately
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose effective materials for sign projects
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively
Strong math skills for measuring and pricing
Able to lift and move inventory items and finished products as needed
Valid driver's license and ability to perform on-site installations
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in sign-making skills and techniques

Desirable Qualification

Vehicle wrap installation experience
Certified installation professional (3M, Avery, etc.)

Compensation: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
