**Job Title:** Qualified Preschool Teacher

**Location:** Discovery Point, Oakwood

**Position Type:** Full-Time

We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team and help guide young learners as they embark on their educational journey.

**Position Overview:**

The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for preschool-aged children (ages 2-3). You will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons, manage a classroom of young learners, and support each child’s growth through individualized attention. As a key member of our teaching team, you'll help lay the foundation for future academic success while fostering a love of learning in every student. This position requires potty training

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that focus on all areas of child development (social, emotional, cognitive, physical).

- Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel respected and valued.

- Lead daily classroom activities such as circle time, art, music, play, and outdoor learning.

- Assess children’s developmental progress and create individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each student.

- Build strong relationships with children, fostering social skills, self-confidence, and a love of learning.

- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about children’s progress and any concerns.

- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

- Follow all state and school guidelines for health and safety, including maintaining a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom.

- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.

- Potty Training

**Qualifications:**

- Must have a **valid ** CDA/TCC

-Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.

- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting.

- Strong knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education.

- Ability to create engaging and hands-on learning experiences for young children.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff.

- Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing and positive approach.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

- Passion for working with young children and helping them grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
