PURPOSE OF POSITION
The fee-for-service clinician will provide clinical services to clients. This position will assist clients in addressing their mental health needs. This includes screening/assessments, on-going individual therapy, crisis intervention and care coordination as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The major responsibility of this position includes,
  • Conduct intake with clients to obtain information concerning social history, treatment, and other pertinent information.
  • Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy to assist clients in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.
  • Clinically evaluate patients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
  • Review results of psychological evaluations and evaluations to assess client needs.
  • Change method and degree of therapy when indicated by client reactions and needs.
  • Discuss progress toward goals and objectives, such as medication regimen, family relationships, educational programs, social development, discharge plans or other behavioral problems, with clients.
  • Responsible for carrying a clinical caseload, either online via secured HIPPA Compliant Telehealth platform or face to face at our organization, while maintaining required productivity level.
  • Consult external community providers concerning treatment plans and for coordination of care, as required.
  • Refer clients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling, as needed maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
  • Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy.
  • Establishing positive, trusting rapport with clients
  • Attending internal trainings as needed
  • Provide 1:1 individual therapy or family therapy for clients enrolled in BeWell
  • Maintain a caseload of at least 10 clients per week
  • Attend supervision with assigned supervisor
  • Demonstrate ability to respond to mental health crisis
  • Complete psychosocial and treatment plans in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate effective communication with supervisor regarding caseload, challenges, referrals etc
  • Attend monthly case conferences 
  • Collaborate with other staff or program managers to assist in treatment for clients when needed
  • Complete progress notes within 24 hours after session is completed in our EMR system, ECW
EDUCATION
Master’s degree in related field – social work, mental health counseling etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Licensed in NYS – MHC-LP/LMHC/LCSW/LMSW/LMFT
  • at least 1 year field and practical experience post-licensure or permit
  • Willingness and capability to work hybrid schedule (at least one day in-person)
  • Strong verbal, written, & presentation skills
  • Highly proficient with documentation
  • Ability to demonstrate good time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and telecommunication devices
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to provide services in English and Haitian-Creole/Spanish (Highly desirable)
  • Availability to work Monday, Wednesday or Friday between the hours of 10am-8pm (Highly desirable)
 Please note: This role is offered as a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include fringe benefits.
Rate of $35-$45 is per completed session. Rates vary by service provided as indicated on BeWell FFS Rate Chart.

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
