We’re seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Park Porter to join our team and ensure that the Park remains a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Job Summary:
As a Park Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the park's cleanliness, safety, and accessibility. This includes opening the park gates, regular trash removal, restroom cleaning, and performing routine checks throughout the park grounds. You will ensure all facilities are ready for visitors and maintain an organized, litter-free environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open park gates by 6:15 a.m. as needed, and open and close gates per schedule.
  • Conduct hourly checks to pick up litter and monitor restroom cleanliness.
  • Empty and replace trash bags in all restrooms, park, and dog park trash cans.
  • Clean and disinfect all restroom facilities daily, including fixtures, doors, floors, mirrors, and surfaces.
  • Regularly clean park tables, benches, playground equipment, and trash cans.
  • Remove all trash from the park at the end of each workday.
  • Clean park signage and kiosks weekly.
  • For special events, adjust tasks as necessary to support park needs.
  • Assist with essential grounds maintenance, including tree limb collection.
Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and responsibly, with attention to detail.
  • Previous janitorial or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible with extended hours when needed.
  • Physical stamina to walk and lift as needed to carry out duties.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe public environment.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
