We are looking for a caregiver in the Hartford, CT area to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of older adults by improving their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, performing light cleaning and errands, administering medications, and other activities that improve the client's environment and living standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and trustworthy.

Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the client in her personal hygiene, including bathing, skin care and clothing.
- Proper management of the ostomy bag (feces) and urostomy (urine): cleaning, emptying, and maintenance as needed.
- Safe use and operation of a Hoyer Lift to make customer transfers comfortably and safely.
- Support in mobility activities using the wheelchair and food
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the care areas.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and compassionate treatment, promoting the emotional well-being of the client.
Requirements:
- Previous experience caring for older adults with similar needs.
- Verifiable knowledge and skills in the management of ostomy and urostomy bags.
- Experience using transfer devices, such as the Hoyer Lift.
- Home health care certification (desirable, but not required).
- Patience, empathy and commitment to the quality of care.
- Availability to work at the established hours.

Compensation: $16.50 per hour
