The Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of healthcare facilities to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. This role involves managing staff, budgets, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning while fostering a positive environment for both employees and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the healthcare facility or department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure facility is clean, safe, and equipped to meet patient needs.
- Staff Supervision:
- Recruit, train, and manage healthcare staff, including medical and non-medical personnel.
- Monitor employee performance and foster professional development.
- Address staff concerns and maintain high morale.
- Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Prepare and manage budgets to ensure financial stability.
- Oversee billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining care quality.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, laws, and accreditation standards.
- Prepare for and lead audits and inspections.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and implement changes as needed.
- Patient Care Coordination:
- Develop strategies to enhance the patient experience.
- Address patient complaints and feedback effectively.
- Ensure timely delivery of services to meet patient needs.
- Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities for service expansion or improvement.
- Represent the facility at meetings, conferences, and community events.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare management or a related role.
- Proven leadership and operational management experience.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
