Job Title: Buyer

Location: Clifton, NJ

Type of position: 6 month contract to direct

Salary: 28.00-36.00 per hour / 60-70k range when it goes direct

Job Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to join our team as a Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials while efficiently managing inventory in the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to optimize the supply chain and warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials and products. Develop and maintain strong relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.

· Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers. Seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

· Coordinate and process purchase orders efficiently through ERP System.

· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.

· Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet specified standards.

· Monitor and control costs related to procurement. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

· Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes. Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and lead times to optimize inventory levels.

· Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving and storage. Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.

· Maximize warehouse space utilization and organization. Implement efficient storage solutions.

· Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

· Coordinate with other departments to fulfill internal and external orders accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or proven experience as a Buyer.

· Strong negotiation and communication skills.

· Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain management.

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience using ERP Systems (Epicor)

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
