Position: Certified Personal Trainer
Job Type: Full-time
Location: FFC Union Station
Compensation: At FFC, trainers earn commission based on experience and certifications, ranging from $32 to $74 per session. During the first 60 days, new trainers earn commissions from paid sessions & New Member Sessions, plus a special bonus ($500-$1000 each month during their first 3 months) for meeting session goals. Trainers are guaranteed to earn at least minimum wage for all hours worked. 

New Trainer Schedule & Responsibilities (First 60 Days):
In the first 60 days, new trainers will follow a set schedule. They must choose at least five 6-hour shifts per week, with options for morning, evening, and at least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday). During these shifts, trainers will be responsible for tasks such as managing the InBody machine, overseeing the fitness floor, greeting members at the front desk, and performing outreach through email or calls.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or a related field
  • Certification: Nationally accredited Personal Training certification
  • Experience: 2+ years in a health club setting with proven sales experience in personal training sessions
  • Expertise: Must be or have been a Master and/or Elite level trainer
  • Safety First: Current CPR and AED certification
What You’ll Do:
  • Build Your Business: Proactively grow your client base through prospecting, outreach (cold calls, email, social media), and selling your training services
  • Manage Your Schedule: Keep your weekly appointments organized and up-to-date
  • Commitment: Full-time trainers maintain at least 30 work hours in the club each week, including at least one weekend shift
  • Drive Results: Work during the last three days of each month to help meet individual and department budget goals
  • Enhance the Environment: Ensure the fitness floor is clean, safe, and welcoming for all members, guests, and colleagues
  • Engage New Members: Conduct personalized New Join Services for all new members within their first 30 days, providing them with tailored workout plans
  • Be a Fitness Resource: Assist members with specific concerns on the fitness floor, including spotting them during exercises and offering expert advice
  • Promote FFC Programs: Build relationships with members to uncover their interests and match them to FFC offerings
  • Deliver Quality Training: Provide and monitor personalized exercise recommendations, helping clients achieve their specific fitness goals.
  • Stay Sharp: Keep your certifications up to date and attend all required department meetings, continuing education sessions, and member appreciation events.
  • Contribute to the Community: Volunteer for special events and programs that FFC provides, sponsors, or participates in, such as summer city festivals and member workout events
  • Organize Client Files: Maintain detailed records of fitness evaluations, workout programs, client notes, and progress tracking in the Portal
