Little Masters Development Center is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and nurturing New York State Certified Teaching Assistants to join our Early Intervention Center in Flushing, NY.

Center Location: 31-54 Leavitt Street Flushing, NY 11354

Job Summary:
We are looking for energetic and caring Teaching Assistants to support our Lead ABA Teacher in providing high-quality instruction and therapeutic learning experiences. You will assist with both whole-group and small-group activities while helping create a structured, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for young children with developmental needs.  Under the guidance and supervision of a Lead ABA Teacher, you will receive hands-on training and experience implementing evidence-based ABA strategies that help children develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and are interested in building a career in early intervention and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). 

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is eager to learn, and demonstrates patience, creativity, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Lead ABA Teacher with implementing classroom instruction and individualized learning activities.
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and skill development.
  • Support children with special needs using evidence-based ABA strategies.
  • Observe student performance, collect data, and document progress.
  • Encourage the development of communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, and daily classroom routines.

Qualifications:
  • New York State Teaching Assistant Certification (Level I, II, or III) required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of Teaching Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
  • Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, energetic, patient, and detail-oriented

Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
