Tractor Operator-Pipeline Mowing Rosharon

Tractor Operator-Pipeline Mowing

Full Time • Rosharon
Tractor Mower/Operator – Pipeline Right-of-Way

Alternates: “Batwing Tractor Operator – Pipeline & Industrial Mowing”  |  “Tractor Operator – Industrial Vegetation Management”

About the Position

Stronghold Vegetation Management is hiring a full-time tractor operator to run mowing equipment on pipeline right-of-way and industrial property across the Gulf Coast. You’ll be operating a tractor with a batwing, flail, or boom mower — clearing corridors, tank batteries, compressor stations, and plant property.

This is an equipment operating position, not a driving position. A CDL is not required.

About Stronghold

We’re a family-owned vegetation management company based in the Houston area, in business for over 20 years. We started as a two-person operation and have grown into a full staff of professionals with a long list of repeat customers. That growth came from doing the work right the first time, on schedule, every time.

We own and maintain our own fleet. That matters to an operator — you’re working on equipment that’s kept up, not fighting a machine all day to get through a job.

Pay and Schedule

•      $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience

•      Overtime available

•      Full-time, year-round — not seasonal

What You’ll Do

•      Operate tractors with batwing, flail, or boom mowers on pipeline right-of-way and industrial sites

•      Mow around pipeline markers, valve sites, fences, and structures without damaging them

•      Complete daily equipment inspections and turn in required job paperwork

•      Perform routine maintenance — grease, fuel, fluid checks — and keep your machine clean and ready

•      Report mechanical issues or damage immediately

•      Follow all Stronghold and client site safety requirements

•      Work as part of a crew and communicate clearly with your foreman

What We’re Looking For

Experience running a tractor with a mower attachment is what matters most. That experience can come from a lot of places — farm and ranch work, cutting hay, county or highway right-of-way, utility brush crews, or previous ROW mowing.

•      Hands-on experience operating a tractor with a mower deck (batwing, flail, or boom)

•      Valid driver’s license

•      Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

•      Able to work outdoors in Gulf Coast heat for a full shift

•      Dependable and on time

•      Takes care of the equipment assigned to them

Helpful but not required: TWIC card, OSHA 10, herbicide applicator license, or prior pipeline or utility right-of-way experience. We’ll help you get these if you don’t have them.

Benefits

•      401(k) with company match

•      Paid time off

•      Performance-based bonuses

•      Wellness resources

•      Paid training

•      Advancement opportunities into foreman and specialty roles

Why Operators Stay With Us

Our foremen came up through our crews. We train every week and promote from the inside whenever we can, because keeping good operators is cheaper and better than replacing them. If you want to run equipment for a long time, or you want to move up into leading a crew, both are on the table here.

How to Apply

Apply through this posting. A formal resume isn’t necessary — tell us what tractors and mowers you’ve run and what kind of work you did with them, and we’ll follow up.
