Job Summary: Storm Guard is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Xactimate estimating software, excellent communication skills for interacting with homeowners and insurance adjusters, and a strong understanding of the restoration and roofing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize Xactimate estimating tool to prepare accurate and detailed project estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to develop cost-effective solutions.
Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain estimates, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
Work closely with insurance adjusters to ensure accurate claim processing and approval.
Conduct site visits to assess damage, take measurements, and gather necessary information for estimates.
Maintain detailed records of estimates, communications, and project updates.
Assist in negotiating estimates with insurance companies and other stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and insurance requirements.
Provide administrative support to the estimating department as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience with Xactimate estimating software.
Knowledge of construction, restoration, or roofing industries preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with homeowners and insurance adjusters.
Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) a plus.
