We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse) to join our home healthcare team. This part-time position will play a pivotal role in meeting Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Home Care Organization (HCO) licensure requirements and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care once operations begin in the second half of 2025 in Northern Virginia.
Role Description
As the Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse), you will:
- Oversee and manage nursing services to ensure compliance with state regulations, CDC, and OSHA guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for patients.
- Coordinate client care services, including case assignments and management.
- Serve as a backup to the Chief Administrator for key administrative functions.
- Maintain records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure all staff adhere to professional standards and provide high-quality home care services.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures for client care, infection control, and safety.
- Conduct and participate in quality assurance programs to improve services and outcomes.
- Provide orientation and continuing education opportunities for staff.
Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (active and in good standing).
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience as an RN in a licensed home health agency or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing home health care.
- Experience with patient care, medication administration, and care plan development.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology or digital health platforms is a plus.
- Availability during business hours or ability to designate a qualified RN in your absence.
