Responsibilities
- Assisting in supplementing, enhancing, and extending occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR).
- Completing tasks related to assessment, intervention, treatment, and activities to enhance motor, sensory, self-regulatory, feeding, and other functional abilities.
- Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care and Gathering information about the patient's health, goals, environment, and support system.
- Implementing treatment plans and helping patients perform therapeutic activities.
- Communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Providing feedback to the OTR on the client's progress during treatment.
Qualifications
- Must have current Occupational therapy Assistant license and CPR certified.
- Communication skills. Occupational therapy Assistant must clearly explain treatment programs, motivate patients, and listen to patients' concerns in order to provide effective therapy.
- CPR Certified
Compensation: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
