Job description
Do you enjoy facilitating groups? Do you have your certification in substance abuse as outlined by the Department of Health Professionals? Do you currently hold a CSAC? If so, you'd make a great addition to Mental Health Pros in our Tidewater (Newport News) area location.
We are a technologically advanced state-wide mental health agency that is looking for individuals who hold a CSAC certification and can facilitate group for substance abuse clients. The right candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or experience in human services fields.
The Substance Abuse Candidate will facilitate groups four days a week. If he or she is licensed or licensed-eligible, you may also meet with the client individually for outpatient therapy. Your caseload will not exceed 20 clients.
Drug Screening, Driver Record Review, Criminal Record Investigation, and Professional Recommendations including Official Educational Transcripts are required. (Earning potential is based on education, skill level, availability, and performance; compensation varies based on assigned patient's needs and work rendered).
Compensation: $27.50 - $30.00 per hour

We currently serve clients in Ashland, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hampton, Hanover, Henrico, Newport News, Norfolk, Suffolk, Petersburg, Portsmouth, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and areas in between.
