Job Summary: Safe Passage Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of each student during arrival and dismissal. This role also involves monitoring the hallways, stairwells and lunchroom. They ensure and support the safety of all students by creating a secure environment for students to move safely between classes and period transitions. They build relationships with students and schools to support conflict resolution, restorative justice and de-escalate conflict.

Responsibilities:

-Ensure safe entry and exit procedures during arrival and dismissal -Monitor school stairs and halls to ensure students safety

-Staff stationed at specific locations during transitions

-Provide assistance to lunchroom staff during lunch

-De-escalate conflict

Experience: - Experience working with children or young adults - Strong situational awareness

- Strong conflict management skills

-Cross cultural awareness

-Conflict resolution

-High School Diploma or GED
