At The Grout Medic of St. Petersburg, we’re a small, high-performing crew — not a corporate franchise. We treat people right and get rewarded for it.
We’re looking for technicians who can sell and produce — consider plumbers or HVAC technicians. You meet the homeowner, quote the job, do the work, and get paid for results — not just hours. If you don't like to sell, you can make a little less and still get rewarded.
If you can sell and produce, we’ll supply the tools, van, gear, insurance, leads, and helpers.
If you’re all talk OR can’t respect others — don’t apply. We have a no asshole rule policy.
Skills required:
Grouting/ Regrouting
Caulking/ Recaulking
Sealing grout with a 2" paint brush - walls, floors...sometimes ceilings
Water repair - removing tiles, adding backerboard, waterproofing, setting tiles, grouting
Replacing/ Repairing tiles
Replacing shower pans

Performance Pay – You control your income. Paid biweekly with clear metrics. You should make effectively between $26 to over $40/hr depending on how fast you're able to complete jobs. That's up to you. Job hours depends on job availability. We're currently booked about 2 weeks out.

How You Win

Technicians who average completing $125/hr in billable work make well ABOVE $28/hr equivalent pay.
Requirements
- 1–2 years in tile, grout, caulk, or another trade or strong attention to detail (handyman, cleaner, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license + reliable mode of transportation
- Clean background (no theft or burglary)
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your knees
- Strong communicator with a customer-first mindset
- Again, you have to treat people with kindness including co-workers
- If you yell at someone on the phone you won't get the job. :( That doesn't make you a bad person but you're not a good fit for our culture.
