Are you passionate about skincare and patient care? We’re looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic dermatology practice with multiple offices in Indianapolis.
Key responsibilities may include:

- Patient intake: Greeting patients, and taking medical histories.
- Exam room preparation: Setting up exam rooms with necessary supplies and ensuring proper sanitation.
- Assisting with procedures: Helping the dermatologist during skin exams, biopsies, mole removals, lesion excisions, and cosmetic procedures like Botox injections and chemical peels.
- Specimen collection: Preparing and labeling skin samples for laboratory analysis.
- Patient education: Informing patients about skin conditions, treatment options, post-procedure care instructions, and sun protection practices.
- Scribing and Documentation: Accurately recording patient details, medical histories, examination findings, and treatment plans in electronic medical records.
- Scheduling appointments: Managing patient schedules and coordinating follow-up appointments.
- Inventory management: Maintaining medical supplies and ordering necessary medications and equipment.
Required skills:
- Strong understanding of basic anatomy and skin conditions
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proper documentation practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients effectively
- Ability to perform clinical tasks like taking patient history and preparing patients for procedures
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (NexTech, ModMed, Athena or Epic)
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
