Job Summary:
We are seeking a Desk Estimator – Reconstruction to join our team. This role is responsible for reviewing project scopes, creating detailed estimates using Xactimate, and working closely with insurance adjusters, project managers, and homeowners to ensure accurate and timely project execution. The ideal candidate has strong estimating experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed Xactimate estimates for reconstruction projects.
- Review project documentation, including field reports and photos, to determine scope of work.
- Work closely with insurance adjusters to ensure alignment on estimates and approvals.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide clear communication to homeowners regarding project estimates and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, local building codes, and insurance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, approvals, and revisions.
- 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in restoration/reconstruction.
- Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Experience working with insurance adjusters is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
