About Us
STAN DUKEMAN
Dukeman's passion for woodworking was sparked by his industrial arts teacher Jonathan Hart in Tuscola, Illinois.
While studying electrical engineering in college, he missed the opportunity for hands-on creativity and sought experience working with Amish cabinetmakers to hone his craft.
He moved to Jacksonville in 1989 where he joined a cabinetry firm and began building high-end commercial cabinetry and architectural elements for clients including Disney, Opryland, Dean Witter Reynolds, Alabama state capitol, Georgia Pacific, and finance and insurance companies.
Stan founded Dukeman Custom Woodworking in 1998 because he wanted to be the best woodworker and make it his lifetime profession. He began collaborating with designers and builders to create custom entertainment centers. Clients were so pleased with his work that they requested cabinetry for kitchens, baths, and libraries.
As word spread among the design and building community, in addition to positive wordof mouth from his satisfied homeowners, he grew the business to include cabinetry and other wood elements for entire homes.
Today Stan and his team of artisans are the region’s premiere resource for high-quality custom cabinetry and furnishings for builders, designers, homeowners, and executives. He treats every project as if it were designed for his own home and office with a devotion to customer service from conception through design, construction, and installation.
Stan believes that to create beautiful cabinetry, you need to pay attention to details and be a good listener to your valued customers.
