Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. The CRT will be responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory disorders, working collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. This role requires expertise in respiratory therapy techniques, ventilator management, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders such as COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and other pulmonary conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance techniques.
- Set up, operate, and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care techniques.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Respond to emergency situations, including code blue events, to provide airway management and life support interventions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control measures, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient progress, and equipment usage in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs.
Job Qualifications
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree); Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Current Florida State License (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist.
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider required.
- ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire.

Compensation: $24.63 - $37.92 per hour
