Position Overview:
We are seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician to join our growing team in Seymour, CT. This role will involve working with inspection systems, performing hands-on integration, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, and passionate about delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and maintain electro-mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on equipment.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure proper system assembly and installation.
  • Assist in the development and modification of prototypes and systems.
  • Perform testing and calibration of electromechanical devices to ensure proper operation and functionality.
  • Provide support in the installation and setup of new machinery and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Document all work completed, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical certification in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical system assembly, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
  • Manual dexterity to work with small components and tools.
