No Nights or Weekends!!!
Food Service & School Support Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare morning and afternoon snacks each day for approximately 110-180 children.
- Ensure safe handling and preparation of all foods.
- Prepare healthy snack menus that are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Create food/kitchen supply lists; collaborate with Admin on ordering and picking up weekly groceries.
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean and organized kitchen space according to Texas Food Handler policy and Texas health code.
- Support staff by providing restroom breaks, covering lunch breaks, and assisting in classrooms when needed.
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
- Develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Supervise and provide individualized support to children.
- Adhere to Goddard and State Health and Safety guidelines.
- Support routine child care tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
Hours:
- 9:00am - 2:00pm Monday through Friday
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Previous food handler training or experience preferred
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children
- Works productively without supervision
- Basic understanding of child development
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children and organizing pantry space upon paper good deliveries
