Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular (CV) Tech II assists in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, working closely with cardiologists and healthcare teams. Responsibilities include operating specialized imaging equipment, monitoring hemodynamic data, and ensuring a sterile environment. This role requires advanced technical expertise and the ability to perform in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology (EP) studies, and vascular interventions.
- Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment.
- Monitor and record EKG, hemodynamics, and patient vitals.
- Scrub in and assist with stents, pacemakers, and angioplasties.
- Maintain sterile field and infection control protocols.
- Respond to emergencies such as STEMI alerts and cardiac arrests.
- Document procedures in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications:
- High school or GED required
- LPN one year experience with Critical Care course within one year of hire or one year Cath Lab experience or one year RCIS or CVT or Graduate of accredited RCVT program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
- Min 1 yr of Cath Lab PREFERRED
Compensation: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
