Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Preschool Assistant Director to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting and possess exceptional office management, administrative, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Preschool Director in managing the daily operations of the preschool, including scheduling, staff management, and classroom activities.
- Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the preschool's office, including maintaining records, filing, and administrative duties.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or feedback.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Support in the hiring, training, and supervision of preschool staff, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Manage enrollment processes and maintain accurate student records.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and community outreach programs.
- Manage communication between staff and parents.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an assistant director.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Must have completed 40 hours of Director Training.
- Exceptional office management and organizational skills including written and verbal communications.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Proficient with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc.) and general office equipment.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and child-centered educational practices.
Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
