As an HVAC Draftsman, you use AutoCAD and Wrightsoft drafting software to create the ducting layout and system installation. With attention to detail, you review all aspects of the design, the relationship of each part to another, along with each part to the system as a whole. You then enter and review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists. Finally, you compute cost factors and prepare estimates in a timely manner.
In this position, you analyze job blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. Though you do spend a lot of time working independently at a computer, your communication and interpersonal skills come in handy as you consult with other departments, clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. You enjoy and take pride in all aspects of your work!
Additionally, you analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reasons for any discrepancies. In this way, you come up with strategies to improve future cost procedures. Knowing that your hard work helps ensure the best outcome for our customers as well as continued profitability for our company gives you great satisfaction.

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
