Job Summary:
The Intake/Placement Coordinator oversees the admission and placement process for residents within a Residential Treatment Center (RTC). This role ensures that new intakes meet program criteria, facilitate smooth transitions, and collaborates with internal teams and external agencies to support resident placement and care.

The Intake/Placement Coordinator oversees the admission and placement process for residents within a Residential Treatment Center (RTC). This role ensures that new intakes meet program criteria, facilitate smooth transitions, and collaborates with internal teams and external agencies to support resident placement and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Intake Coordination: Manage the intake process by reviewing referrals, conducting initial screenings, and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
- Placement Management: Assess resident needs and match them with appropriate RTC programs and services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with case managers, Treatment Director and direct care staff to ensure seamless transitions and appropriate care plans.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for referring agencies, guardians, and external stakeholders regarding placement availability and intake requirements.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of intakes, assessments, and placement decisions while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assessment & Reporting: Regularly assess resident placement effectiveness and provide reports to leadership regarding admission trends and capacity.
- Crisis Management: Support emergency placements and coordinate with staff to address urgent intake needs.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure that all intake procedures align with organizational policies and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in Child welfare setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with behavioral health services, trauma-informed care, and placement regulations.
- Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention training (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check, valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed
