Job Summary
We are seeking a Bartender to join our Banquet & Event staff. In this role, you will be responsible for taking customer orders, keeping the bar area clean and inviting, and execute a variety of traditional and creative cocktails. The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-service oriented, and is passionate about mixology.

The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-service oriented, and is passionate about mixology.
Responsibilities
- Take drink orders
- Confirm patrons are of legal drinking age and follow all state and federal laws for serving alcoholic beverages
- Collect payment and operate cash register
- Order, maintain, and restock inventory of bar supplies and ingredients
- Perform duties associated with opening and closing the bar, including cleaning and mopping
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or banquet/event bartending is preferred
- Mixology or hospitality certification is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and bar menu items
- Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
- Weekend Availability
Hourly Wage + Tips
Compensation: $12.00 per hour
Settles Hill Banquets and Events was originally founded in 1991 by Jock Farnsworth, who had purchased 465 magnificent acres and built The Tree Farm Restaurant in Altamont, NY. After Mr. Farnsworth’s passing and subsequent closing in 2005, Carver Laraway purchased the property and renovated the restaurant into a banquet facility. In 2008, the DePasquale family, former owner of The Backgrounds Restaurant in Schenectady, NY, took over the facility and created Settles Hill Banquets & Events.
