Account Manager

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving monthly sales targets and performance objectives. This role serves as the customer’s advocate, collaborating with various internal teams to ensure client needs are fully understood and met. The position also involves following a professional development plan to reach personal and professional milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to assess their HVAC and Building Automation System (BAS) requirements, clearly communicating the benefits of our solutions.
  • Stay current on all company offerings and industry developments to provide informed recommendations.
  • Leverage technical expertise to address and resolve customer HVAC and BAS concerns.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate estimates for maintenance, repairs, and new installations.
  • Ensure prompt and effective communication, follow-up, and responsiveness to client inquiries.
  • Address customer issues directly or escalate them to the appropriate team or management as needed.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, educational seminars, and industry events to build relationships and stay informed.
  • Enhance customer relationships by organizing appreciation initiatives such as welcome packages, branded gifts, and hosted events.
  • Actively participate in local professional organizations (e.g., AAFAME, BOMA) by attending meetings, events, and serving on committees.
  • Maintain and update customer information and activity logs daily using the CRM system.
  • Keep thorough records of site visits and job walks.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless customer service from start to finish.
  • Track personal performance using CRM tools and management reports.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly sales and performance goals.
  • Provide regular updates to the Vice President and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Foster open communication and strong working relationships with colleagues and leadership.
  • Contribute to a positive company culture that values high performance, personal development, and team morale.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the HVAC or a related industry.
  • Passionate about the company’s mission, team development, and customer service.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in collecting, tracking, and analyzing data.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Skilled at building rapport and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamics 365.
  • Comfortable with modern office technology, including smartphones, mobile apps, VoIP systems, computers, and printers.
