Mechanic for Trucks and Equipment

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining and repairing a wide range of trucks and heavy equipment used in the tree service industry, including pickups, dump trucks, brush chippers, loaders, and bucket trucks. This is a great opportunity for a dependable and motivated individual to work in a professional and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Rebuild motors and replace components like tail lights and other vehicle systems.
- Mount and balance tires for various vehicles and equipment.
- Repair and maintain vehicle air conditioning systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity of equipment.
- Perform welding repairs as needed (preferred but not required).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanic.
- Strong expertise in diesel engine repair and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, vehicle air conditioning repair, and motor rebuilding.
- Proficiency in basic welding techniques (a plus but not mandatory).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL license is a plus.
Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
