We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Splicer Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fusion splicing of fiber optic cables.
- Install and test fiber optic networks using VFL, OPM
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair fiber optic cables and components.
- Ensure fiber installations comply with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Work in various environments ( indoor, outdoor, and sometimes confined spaces).
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in fiber optic splicing and testing preferred.
- Proficient with fiber tools and test equipment (e.g., fusion splicer, VFL, OPM).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must have own vehicle.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of color codes used in fiber splicing.
- Familiarity with GIS systems
Working Conditions:
- Fieldwork required; must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- May involve on-call rotations, weekends, or extended hours based on project needs.
