Availability: Mandatory Weekend Hours (Saturday and/or Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) + Afternoon Shifts (3:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
On-Call Coverage: Must be available for coverage and mandatory meetings as needed

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Weekend Manager / Training Specialist to join our team. This dynamic individual will oversee weekend operations and manage a variety of responsibilities, ensuring smooth and efficient service. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience, a background in the gymnastics, dance, or fitness industry, and the ability to lead a team effectively. You will also be responsible for teaching a minimum of 10 classes per week. Strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to give and receive constructive criticism are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee gym operations on weekends (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and afternoons (3:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
  • Lead, inspire, and manage staff during weekend and afternoon shift
  • Teach a minimum of 10 classes per week
  • Ensure safety and performance standards are consistently met
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests
  • Assist with training and development of new staff
  • Provide and accept constructive criticism to improve individual and team performance
  • Collaborate closely with the Gym Director to manage daily operations
  • Lead the team, solve problems, and address operational issues promptly
  • Ensure class ratios are maintained and no socks are worn
  • Manage class schedules and ensure smooth transitions between activities
  • Handle member inquiries, concerns, and feedback
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of gym equipment
  • Be on-call for shift coverage and attend mandatory meetings as needed
    Collaborate with the management team on operational improvements

Qualifications:

  • Prior management experience in a fitness, gymnastics, or dance environment
  • Proven ability to teach and lead classes in a similar field
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work closely with a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide and accept constructive criticism professionally
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, but can be obtained after hiring

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
