Title: Quality Assurance Inspector, Mid-Senior

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0900hrs - 1700hrs EST
- Location: On-Site; Aberdeen, MD 21001
- Supervisory: No
Key Roles/Duties:
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for electro-mechanical products and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation to verify manufacturing processes meet defined production standards
- Perform detailed inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies, wiring harnesses, circuit boards, and integrated components to verify compliance with technical drawings and workmanship standards
- Utilize precision inspection tools including calipers, gauges, micrometers, multimeters, and other measurement instruments relevant to electro-mechanical manufacturing
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) as required. Responsible for incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections. Inspect labeling, packaging, and documentation for accuracy and compliance with requirements
- Monitor and enforce compliance with electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols for handling sensitive electronic components
- Investigate and document defects, deviations, or non-conformances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions
- Participate in periodic audits of manufacturing processes and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal quality standards
- Engage actively in design and production reviews, providing input on quality considerations, inspection requirements, and manufacturing feasibility
- Ensure proper identification, handling, and documentation of non-conforming materials and components
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or relevant certification in Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology
- +3 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
- Demonstrated experience with interpreting electro-mechanical technical drawings and schematics
- Demonstrated experience using an ERP system and inspection tools/techniques
- Demonstrated experience with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 or other industry-specify quality systems
- Maintain highly organized and detailed records
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Quality Inspector (e.g., ASQ CQI)
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology
- +6 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
- Experience conducting or participating in audits for quality assurance compliance
- Experience with ERP system, Deltek
Travel:
- Minimal, local travel less than 10% of the year
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a background check and/or security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
