Position Overview
As an LMFT at Hopeful Minds Counseling Services, you will provide professional counseling services to individuals, couples, and families experiencing emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. You will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support clients in their healing journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ backgrounds, presenting concerns, and treatment goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to clients’ needs.
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy to address mental health concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers) to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Stay informed on current research and engage in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid LMFT license in Washington and Oregon.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
- Strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to cultural competency and providing inclusive, trauma-informed care.
- Strong ethical standards and adherence to confidentiality guidelines.
