Position Overview:
The Training Coordinator / HR Assistant supports the core of Destiny’s Caring Hands LLC by ensuring every team member is properly trained, onboarded, and supported. This dual role combines training coordination, recruitment, and HR administrative support to maintain a strong, compliant, and mission-driven workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Orientation
- Lead and manage new hire orientation (in-person and virtual)
- Prepare and distribute welcome packets, handbooks, and training schedules
- Track training completions and certifications (EVV, CPR, First Aid, AxisCare, HIPAA)
- Coordinate monthly in-services, compliance trainings, and team development sessions
- Maintain organized records of training documentation and calendars
HR Support & File Management
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee files (digital and paper)
- Track and notify staff of due dates for TB tests, CPR, and renewals
- Input and update employee data in AxisCare and HRIS systems
- Respond to HR-related inquiries and support internal communication
- Assist with staff appreciation programs and morale-building efforts
Recruitment & Hiring
- Monitor the HRIS system daily for new applications
- Screen candidates, schedule interviews, and conduct initial interviews
- Attend job fairs and coordinate local hiring events
- Create digital job ads, flyers, and outreach materials using Canva
- Maintain a recruitment tracker for open roles and applicant progress
- Collaborate with the Director on workforce planning and onboarding timelines
Communication & Support
- Communicate effectively with staff, new hires, vendors, and leadership
- Send updates and reminders via Band, Google Calendar, and email
- Set up training rooms and manage tech needs for sessions or meetings
- Provide biweekly reports to the Director on training progress, compliance, and recruitment status

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (HR, business, or education background preferred)
- Are organized, detail-driven, and proactive
- Feel confident leading training sessions and interviews
- Can maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
- Are tech-savvy and comfortable using Google Drive, Canva, Zoom, and HR systems
- Want to help people feel prepared, supported, and empowered in their roles
