Job Description:

VDOT is seeking an experienced IT Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to act as the liaison between internal business units and the IT department. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to identify business needs, prioritize projects, and ensure that IT services align with business goals. This individual will be responsible for maintaining effective communication and delivering exceptional customer service to various business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with VDOT business units.
  • Understand business strategies and objectives to recommend IT solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between IT service teams and business partners.
  • Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure service satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and participate in the planning and execution of IT initiatives.
  • Track and report on service performance metrics and customer satisfaction.
  • Support project managers with business requirement gathering and validation.
  • Serve as the escalation point for service delivery issues and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with VDOT IT policies, processes, and governance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT customer relationship management, business analysis, or service delivery roles.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience managing relationships across diverse business units.
  • Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL practices.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Experience working in government or large enterprise environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
