Job description

Chatterbox Therapy Center is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and provide specialized therapy services to children within the public-school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients and have a passion for helping them reach their full potential. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients.

  • Salary: 76,000-88,000 
  • W2 , PTO, 


Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentorship and supervision of 1 SLPA 
  • Provide therapy to a very small caseload
  • Setting: Private Schools North Dallas (Elementary)
  • Maintain open communication with Chatterbox Therapy Center, assigned school district and families by checking email/phone regularly.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping of hours worked on timesheets, and be sure to submit them in a timely manner to Chatterbox Therapy Center.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities. 
  • Develop individualized treatment plans (IEP) for students
  • Provide speech therapy sessions to children, utilizing evidence-based practices. 
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. 
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. 
  • Educate families on communication strategies and techniques to support their child's development at home. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including progress notes and treatment plans. 
  • Stay current with developments in the field of speech pathology through continuous education and training.

Requirements:
SLP Texas Licensure
ASHA CCC's
Pass a background check within school district
