Job Summary: 
The Sales Specialist is responsible for building relationships with referral sources, healthcare professionals, and potential clients.

Sales/Networking Specialist responsibilities include:

Business Insights:
  • Initiate, develop, and nurture strategic relationships with Professional Referral Sources, Care Managers, Hospitals, Independent/Assisted Living Facilities, Nursing Homes, Rehabilitation facilities, Workers Compensation, etc.
  • Work one-on-one with existing clients to build new and enhance existing relationships to generate new business.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and community events to raise awareness of the agency’s services.
  • Develop and execute sales plans that include targets and goals for strategic sales.
  • Conduct research and continuously develop opportunities for new relationships and business development with particular focus working with Long Term Care, Worker’s Compensation, and law firms/attorneys working with injury cases.
Customer Service:
  • Responds promptly to customers/clients’ needs to build relationships; solicits customer feedback to improve service; meets commitments, fostering company image.

  • Reacts well under pressure; upholds organizational values; treats people with respect. Represents the company in a professional manner.

  • Analyzes market and competition; identifies external threats and opportunities; adapts strategy to changing conditions.

Supporting and/or developing direct marketing campaigns.
  • Understands and adheres to established FirstLight policies and procedures.
  • Maintains calendars and databases on marketing programs inclusive of prospects, advertising, referrals, mail campaigns, lists, and home care and home shows.
  • Completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per FirstLight policy.
  • May perform initial evaluation of services for potential clients.
  • Assists in the coordination of care for client services.
  • All other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • H.S. Diploma or GED, college preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Home Care sales.
  • Demonstrated history of positive sales results that involved a meaningful relationship with customers that lead to positive results.
  • Prior to community involvement.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel, Calendar, and Scheduling programs.
  • Experience with the Senior Care community such as long-term care, assisted living, or home care is beneficial.
  • Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
  • Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
Compensation: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
