Are you an experienced landscaper looking for more than just a paycheck? Outdoor Escapes and Designs is looking for a Skilled Landscape Laborer who is ready to take the next step in their career. We don’t just offer a job; we offer a path toward leadership, including support for obtaining your CDL and in-field certifications.

The Role: Skill & Responsibility

As a Skilled Laborer, you are a key asset on our job sites. You aren't just following orders—you are anticipating needs, operating equipment safely, and ensuring that our high-end installations are handled with expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Installation: Lead by example in the installation of turf, perennials, shrubs, and large-scale evergreens/trees.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate medium-weight construction equipment (skid steers, mini-excavators) to move materials and grade sites.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe workspace, follow strict company procedures, and ensure all equipment is in peak working order.
  • Winter Operations: Provide essential snow removal services through the end of the Utah winter season.
  • Professionalism: Represent the company with excellent verbal communication and a "lead-by-example" work ethic.

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is ready to commit to the trade.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in professional landscape installation.
  • Licensing: Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving record.
  • Growth Mindset: Ability and commitment to obtain a CDL Class A (with health endorsement) and an in-field certification within your first year.
  • Horticultural Knowledge: Strong understanding of local plant life and best practices for planting.
  • Background: Ability to pass a background check.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 125 lbs and thrive in extreme Utah weather (heat/rain/snow).

Schedule & Availability

  • Peak Season (March–Nov): Up to 50 hours per week, including seasonal long hours and weekends.
  • Winter: Reliable availability for snow removal as needed.
  • Reliability: Punctuality is non-negotiable. Our crews depend on every member to be on time, every day.
Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
