About the role
Garaginization turns cluttered garages into clean, functional spaces with custom cabinetry, overhead storage, slatwall systems and durable floor coatings. We're looking for a Sales & Design Consultants who love helping people solve problems and can turn a homeowner's wish list into a design they're excited to buy.
You'll meet with homeowners at their homes, measure and assess their garages, design custom solutions, and guide them from first visit to signed contract. You'll work company-provided leads and build your own pipeline through relationships with home builders, realtors and local networking groups, so your success grows with the connections you make.
What you'll do
• Manage company-provided leads: make first contact quickly, qualify needs and schedule in-home consultations.
• Generate your own leads by building relationships with home builders, realtors, and other referral partners.
• Measure garages, assess walls, ceiling and floor conditions, and learn how each family uses the space.
• Design custom layouts for cabinets, overhead racks, slatwall, workbenches and flooring using our design software.
• Present designs and pricing clearly, handle questions and objections, and close sales during or after the visit.
• Follow up promptly on open proposals and track every lead, partner and opportunity in our CRM.
• Write accurate orders and hand off clean, complete specs to the installation team.
• Stay in touch with customers through installation to make sure the finished garage matches what was promised.
• Ask happy customers for reviews and referrals.
What you bring
Required
• 2+ years of in-home, retail or consultative sales experience.
• A track record of generating your own business through networking, referrals or partner relationships.
• Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own calendar and pipeline without pre-set appointments.
• Comfort with measuring spaces and thinking spatially; you can picture a finished room before it exists.
• Strong listening and presentation skills, and confidence asking for the sale.
• Organized follow-through with a CRM, tablet and basic design or quoting software.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and clean driving record.
• Availability for evening and Saturday appointments, when homeowners are home.
Nice to have
• Experience selling cabinetry, closets, flooring, remodeling or other home improvement products.
• Familiarity with design tools such as SketchUp, 2020, or similar.
• A personal interest in organization, DIY projects or a well-kept garage.
Pay and benefits
• Compensation: Base pay per year plus commission; consultants who hit target typically earn $75+ in their first year.
• Leads: A mix of company-provided leads and self-generated business, with marketing support for your networking efforts.
• Training: Paid training on our products, design software and sales process.
• Tools: Company-provided tablet, design software and sample kit.
• Benefits: 401(k) plus company match, fuel reimbursement.
• Schedule: Full-time, with appointments on weekdays, occasional evenings and Saturdays.

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
